Hi, this is my first painting with a tablet, and IŽd like some tips how to make it more realistic.

Hello! I hope you're enjoying working with a tablet!

For the tornado in the foreground I'd look at reference photos - they will tell you a lot.
You might end up chosing a reference that is not frontlit, but three quarter or backlit - this will allow you to shade the tornado better.

Composition wise I'd also choose an image that allows you to present your tornado better.

Looking at reference will help you with realism. Choosing the right circumstances for your painting (lighting, environment, POV and composition) will help you getting the desired realism.

I dont think you can call this a mattepainting, but it is a painting :D
I did it today withmy tablet, and id like to know what you think.

It is Klayman from the Neverhood.
