I thought it might be good to get peoples feed back on preferred color profiles in PS. What are you typically using? Could you list the profile and reason you are using it?
Cheers,
Tim

Anyone? Anyone?
Could anyone at least mention profiles they avoid and for what reason?
Is every one just using the default sRGB. I've heard that this is a very limited color space. Any thoughts?

If we're talking about the same thing...
Photoshop> Color Settings...
I use Custom> Monitor RGB. (Which is essentially the same
as turning color management off) I don't save files with any embedded
color profiles either.

Any idea what some one would use some of the others for? Like "Wide Gamut RGB" or "SMPTE-C"?
The Reason I ask is that I was using an image taken with a Nikon digital camera and noticed a shift in color when I dragged it into my working file witch happened to be sRGB.
Is Monitor RGB the best soloution for ensureing that what your looking at is the best representation of color?
Thanks for the input!
Cheers,
Tim

I use Custom> Monitor RGB.
Hi rrische, if you use "Monitor RGB" in PS, what is the color profile of your monitor? Speaking for myself, I have calibrated my monitor using Adobe Gamma and there are so many color profile... I don't know which one to use.
Thanks for your contribution!
